Let's Rock! Rock Band Boot Camp is a five-week intensive workshop series for students ages 13-18. Students will form bands with their peers and learn fundamental musicianship skills from music theory and composition to performance etiquette and stage presence. The first four weeks consist of hands-on instruction and band practice, followed by a final performance and pizza party afterparty on the fifth week for their friends and family to attend.

After the performance, students and their families are welcome to hang out backstage for a pizza party where the musicians can take photos and sign autographs for their fans.

Student experience and equipment requirements

Students of all skill and experience levels are welcome to register. Bands will be formed based on factors including instrument, skill/experience level, and musical interests.

Because each band relies on the continued presence of each of their bandmates, students are encouraged to attend every workshop date and remain for the full duration of each workshop.

Students are responsible for bringing their own instruments and supplies to every workshop as detailed below. Students are also encouraged to bring a bottled drink (no open containers are allowed inside the rehearsal rooms) and a snack to every workshop.

Needed supplies by instrument:

Guitar students- guitar, picks, cables, pedals (if desired), spare set of strings, guitar strap, tuner

Bass students- bass, picks, cables, pedals (if desired), spare set of strings, bass strap, tuner

Drum students- cymbals, drum sticks, drum key

If students cannot attend every workshop or provide their own instrument, they can give us a call at (904) 861-4224 so that we can discuss alternate options.
